Project Description

“BRAMANTE” PASSITO WINE

Passito wine is obtained from fragrant, aleatico, red berry vines which have grown in our area for centuries. This is the same area from which the Vin Santo (Sacred wine) started its journey towards Rome and today's wine making process has remained the same as then. The best bunches of grapes are singularly hung and left to dry out in a ventilated room for 5 months. They are then hulled by hand and the best grapes are selected and pressed in a traditional winepress after which the wine is left in steel barrels for at least five years. A very low yield of 18% means that "Bramante" passito is a very precious, sought after wine
